Unpaid challans block RC renewal, insurance renewal, and vehicle ownership transfer. Always clear pending challans before selling or buying a used vehicle.
E-challans issued by speed cameras and AI-enabled traffic signals appear within 24–72 hours. Challans issued physically by traffic police take 1–3 working days to appear online.
You have the right to contest a challan within 30 days of issuance. You can do this online through GaadiInfo's challan tool or by appearing before the adjudicating officer at your local traffic court.
How to Pay an E-Challan Online
Check pending challans
Enter your vehicle number on GaadiInfo. We fetch all pending and disposed challans from echallan.parivahan.gov.in and your state traffic portal.
Review challan details
Each challan shows: offence type, fine amount, date, location, and issuing authority. Note the challan number for records.
Pay via UPI or card
Select the challan and pay using UPI, debit/credit card, or net banking directly on GaadiInfo. Payment is processed via PayU — a PCI DSS certified secure payment gateway.
Download receipt
After payment, download the receipt. Keep it for 30 days - the government portal takes 3–5 working days to mark the challan as disposed.
